Limiting global warming to agreed-upon targets like 1.5°C is tough. Some plans suggest temporarily going over the limit before coming back down. But we're not sure if we can reverse global warming with Carbon Dioxide Removal tech. We don't know much about the benefits of cooling down after warming up. Researchers are studying how to decrease global temperatures after they peak. They're looking at how things like permafrost and glaciers will respond. This will help us understand the benefits of acting early to prevent too much warming.
