The study looked at different types of diversity in the Inner Mongolia grassland. The movement of species from one place to another had a big impact on the variety of species and functions, while the environment itself had a big impact on the evolutionary relationships of species. This shows that to protect biodiversity, we need to consider all these aspects together.
