The study found that in a 3D dynamical system, unstable limit cycles and chaotic attractors can coexist. By using the T-system, researchers showed that these two types of behaviors can occur together. They also discovered that the system has invariant algebraic surfaces that play a role in the disappearance of strange attractors and limit cycles.
