Revolutionizing Wheat Yield: Precision Nitrogen Management Boosts Crop Productivity
A study looked at how different ways of managing nitrogen and tilling the soil affect wheat growth. They tested two tilling methods (conventional and zero tillage) and six nutrient management practices. The conventional tilling method gave slightly higher grain yields than zero tillage. The best grain yield was seen in plots that received 70% of the recommended nitrogen based on a specific system, with the rest guided by a tool called Green Seeker. This treatment gave the highest grain yield compared to other nutrient management practices.
