Revolutionary dual fuel engine slashes emissions and boosts efficiency!
Scientists developed a new engine that uses both Diesel fuel and natural gas to improve efficiency and reduce emissions. By using natural gas as the main fuel and Diesel fuel to start combustion, they achieved better performance and lower emissions compared to using only Diesel fuel. The best results were obtained with 22% Diesel fuel, 13 L min-1 of natural gas, and the original injection angle of the engine. This setup increased power by 14% and reduced consumption costs by 46% compared to using only Diesel fuel.
