The study looked at different types of nitrogen fertilizers and levels to see how they affect maize growth and grain quality. They found that using nitrate fertilizer at a rate of 50 kg N per hectare resulted in the highest grain yield and protein content. Ammonium fertilizer led to the highest nitrogen uptake, while nitrate fertilizer was best for plant height. The most efficient nitrogen use was seen at the 50 kg N per hectare rate. Overall, the study suggests that for the best maize growth and nutrition, nitrate fertilizer at 50 kg N per hectare is the way to go.
