The article discusses changes in agricultural finance policies in Korea since the Uruguay Round. Despite implementing special farm programs and allocating significant budgets to the agricultural sector, farm household income has been decreasing. With ongoing efforts to liberalize agricultural trade, such as rice trade negotiations and free trade agreements, farm household incomes are expected to decline even further. To address these challenges, it is crucial to evaluate past agricultural policies, develop a policy agenda for the future, and propose solutions to current agricultural policy issues.
