Clean Development Mechanism Boosts Technology Transfer for Developing Countries
The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) aims to help both developed and developing countries by promoting sustainable development and reducing emissions. It also serves as a tool for transferring technology from developed to developing countries. However, there are concerns about the distribution of CDM projects and the effectiveness of technology transfer. The study used data from the UNEP Risoe Center CDM Pipeline database and other sources to analyze the current state of technology transfer in CDM projects. The researchers looked at factors influencing technology transfer and identified gaps in the process. The study concludes with recommendations for improving technology transfer in CDM projects.
