The study compared the financial performance of private banks in Iran with Islamic banks in the Persian Gulf region. They used CAMEL indexes to assess factors like capital adequacy, credit risks, management quality, and liquidity. The results showed that the selected Islamic banks in the Persian Gulf region performed better in these areas compared to private banks in Iran.
