Climate change boosts vegetation growth in mountainous areas, improving ecological systems.
The study looked at how climate change affects plant growth in the Western Henan Mountains in China. By analyzing satellite images and climate data, researchers found that overall, plant growth has been improving over the years. However, some areas showed a decrease in plant growth. The elevation and slope of the land play a big role in how plants respond to temperature and rainfall. Lower areas had the most plant growth, likely due to restoration efforts. Steeper slopes had higher plant growth compared to gentle slopes. This study helps us understand how plants react to climate change and can guide future efforts to protect our environment.
