Kaolin foliar spray boosts persimmon tree yield and quality, prevents sunburn.
The study tested how spraying persimmon trees with a natural clay called kaolin affects their growth and fruit quality. They found that spraying kaolin at a 4% concentration two or three times in the summer improved the trees' nutrition and reduced sunburn on the fruit. The kaolin also helped lower leaf and fruit temperatures and increased the yield and quality of the fruit. Overall, spraying kaolin on persimmon trees can improve their health, protect the fruit from sun damage, and increase the amount and quality of the fruit they produce.
