100% Renewable Energy Transforms Remote Communities, Slashes Emissions and Costs
The research looked at using renewable energy sources to power entire communities in China. They studied different cities with various climates and renewable resources to see how well this could work. The goal was to find the best way to set up these systems to be both efficient and cost-effective. The results showed that in most cities, setting up 100% renewable energy systems could work well economically. It would take less than six years to pay off the initial investment in many cases. Also, if the cost of solar panels goes down in the future, it could make these systems even more affordable. This study gives helpful advice for using renewable energy in China's less densely populated areas.
