This guide explains how to use microsimulations with CGE models to study how policies and shocks affect income distribution and poverty. Different techniques are available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The guide focuses on two specific techniques: a non-parametric microsimulation model and a representative household model. These methods were applied to Tanzania to show how they work in practice.
