Kenaf fiber revolutionizes eco-friendly composite materials for sustainable industries.
Kenaf is a natural fiber that grows quickly and can be harvested in large quantities. It has two parts, bast and core, with bast fibers being strong and used in industries like clothing and paper. By using kenaf bast fiber in composite materials, it can make the material biodegradable, lightweight, and cost-effective. In this study, researchers conducted alkaline and kraft pulping on kenaf fibers to analyze their chemical, physical, and optical properties for potential use in composite materials.
