Groundwater models in the Netherlands are important for managing water resources. Researchers developed methods to improve a key subsurface model called REGIS using data from calibrated groundwater models. By considering data uncertainty and using probability distributions, they were able to enhance the accuracy of the REGIS model. This research also introduced a new method for working with different types of probability distributions.
