Decision support tools are important for making informed decisions in various organizations. System Dynamics, a tool based on causal variables and inferences that change over time, is used for policy and decision-making in energy projects. This approach helps address complex energy problems by looking at them holistically. The methodological framework developed in this chapter guides the use of System Dynamics to tackle unique energy issues within different constraints.
