Researchers used Vertical Electrical Sounding to study aquifer characteristics in Item area, Nigeria. They found varying aquifer thicknesses and transmissivity levels across different geological formations. The southern part of the area has better groundwater potential for productive boreholes compared to the northern part. The study suggests depths of 40m to 152m for effective boreholes in certain areas.
