The article discusses a new method for producing green hydrogen called two-step thermochemical electrolysis. This process combines electrical and chemical potentials to split water efficiently. By using a special material called a perovskite in an electrolyzer, the process can be cost-effective and overcome challenges of traditional methods. If solar energy is used, the cost of producing hydrogen could be lower than with high-temperature electrolysis.
