New herbicide combo boosts rice yield by 378.9% and profits by 31.4%!
Weeds are a big problem for rice farmers, affecting crop growth and yield. A study tested different ways to control weeds in direct-seeded rice fields. They found that using a combination of two specific herbicides at different times reduced weed growth by 87.6% and increased rice yield by 378.9% compared to fields with no weed control. Another method involving brown manuring and a specific herbicide reduced weed growth by 80.3% and increased rice yield by 30.3% compared to fields with no weed control. These methods could be good options for farmers to control weeds and improve their rice harvest.
