Government spending on agriculture in Nigeria has a big impact on crop, livestock, fishing, and forestry outputs. A study looked at data from 1980 to 2019 and found that more government spending leads to higher agricultural production, except in forestry. There is a one-way link between agricultural credit and increased production. The research suggests that increasing government spending on agriculture and helping farmers access credit can boost productivity in the sector.
