Revolutionary Study Uncovers Solution to Water Scarcity in Jordan's Marginal Areas
The goal of the study was to estimate the amount of runoff in the Al-Mahalah watershed in Jordan to build an earth dam for water harvesting and soil conservation. Using the SCS Curve Number method and Geographic Information System tools, the researchers found that approximately 40,000 cubic meters of runoff could be collected at the watershed's outlet, and around 15,000 cubic meters at the proposed dam location.
