The research aims to make it easier to design products by integrating functions effectively from the start. Using a method called Axiomatic Design, engineers can merge different functions in a product without conflicts. They created a design matrix to guide this process, demonstrated by three matrices in the study. This method helps in designing electric car suspensions with electric motors in the axle arms.
