Land use planning in Tanzania fails to meet community needs, causing problems.
Land use plans in Ulanga District, Tanzania were found to be insufficient in meeting the needs of stakeholders, leading to problems in implementation. The study showed that most land use zones, such as residential, agriculture, and grazing, were reported as inadequate by the majority of respondents. Reasons for this included population growth, overstocking, and lack of necessary infrastructure. Recommendations were made to improve the land use planning process and review zoning standards to address these issues.
