Herbicide Management Boosts Wheat Yield and Fights Weed Infestation in Crops
The study looked at different ways to grow wheat and control weeds in a rice-wheat cropping system. They tested six tillage methods and three weed control measures to see how they affected wheat growth and yield. The results showed that furrow irrigated raised bed planting had the tallest plants and highest yield, while reduced tillage and conventional line sowing also performed well. Using herbicides helped increase grain and biomass yield by reducing weed density. Sulfosulfuron herbicide at 33.3 g/ha and Metribuzin at 250 g/ha were the most effective in improving yield.
