Senior High School Curriculum Puts Financial Strain on Parents in Philippines
The study looked at how the new Senior High School curriculum affects parents in rural and urban areas in the Philippines. They found that parents are spending more money on their children's education, which is causing financial difficulties. Parents in rural areas are more affected than those in urban areas. The main factors causing financial strain are income and tuition fees. On average, parents are spending around PhP35,000 to 45,000 per year on their children's senior high education.
