In this research, the aim was to see how the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement affected trade between ASEAN countries and China. They used a special model to study 79 trading partners of ASEAN and China, considering factors like GDP, population, resources, distance, and language. The results showed that the trade deal increased trade not only between ASEAN nations and China but also with other countries outside the region. This means the agreement helped boost trade overall and suggested that expanding this free trade area could lead to more economic growth and less inequality in the region.
