New wind speed analysis method unlocks potential for renewable energy generation!
The article compares three methods for analyzing wind speed data in Pauh Putra, Perlis, Malaysia. The researchers used Weibull distribution to calculate wind power potential and studied wind speed characteristics. They found that the mean wind speed was 1.0790 m/s in 2018 and 1.1321 m/s in 2019. The highest monthly wind speed occurred in February, while the lowest was in May for 2018 and October for 2019. The Maximum Likelihood Method showed the highest probability density at 1.1 m/s for both years. The Energy Pattern Factor Method had a different shape compared to other methods, with the Maximum Likelihood Method having higher shape parameters.
