Vegetation on Qinling Mountains Thriving on Southern Slope, Declining on North
The study looked at how plants in the Qinling Mountains respond to changes in temperature and moisture. They found that vegetation on the southern slope improved more than on the northern slope. Plants on the northern slope were more sensitive to changes in temperature and moisture. Spring humidity helped plants grow better all year round. Plants at elevations of 800 to 1200 meters were most sensitive to changes in temperature and moisture.
