Chickpea Farmers in Ethiopia Boosted Yields by Planting at Optimal Time
The researchers studied how different planting dates and chickpea varieties affect growth and yield in Toke Kutaye District, Ethiopia. They tested four planting dates and four chickpea varieties. The results showed that planting on September 14th led to the highest grain yield, while the Dalota variety produced the most grain. Dalota variety planted on September 14th performed the best overall. This information can help farmers in similar areas improve their chickpea production.
