Villagers' Awareness of Climate Change Symptoms Drives Livelihood Changes in Golestan.
Villagers in the Oghan watershed in Golestan province were surveyed to understand how they perceive climate change and its impact on their livelihoods. The study found that factors like age, livestock ownership, history of animal husbandry, length of stay in the village, and income are related to villagers' awareness of climate change symptoms. The more aware villagers are of climate change signs, the more their livelihoods are affected. This shows that there is a clear link between villagers' perception of climate change and changes in their way of life.
