The goal of the study was to test how consistent cryogenic multilayer insulation (MLI) is in large tanks. They looked at how well MLI blankets performed and how consistent they were when installed. The researchers found that the repeatability of MLI blankets with 25 layers was around +/- 8.4, and the repeatability of installing the same blanket was around +/- 8.0. Another set of 10 blankets showed a repeatability of around +/- 16. This means that the data collected is reliable and consistent.
