European Court of Justice Limits Jurisdiction Over International Agreement Violations.
The European Court of Justice clarified its jurisdiction in a case between Slovenia and Croatia. It decided not to intervene in claims of EU law violations stemming from breaches of international agreements outside EU competence. The Court introduced the concept of ancillary violation and limited its jurisdiction to avoid encroaching on Member States' exclusive powers.
