New study reveals optimal water requirements for rice crops in Kashmir.
The study looked at how much water rice crops need in a cooler area in India. They used special tools to measure how much water the crops used up and found that the rice needed different amounts of water at different stages of growth. In one location, the rice needed 770.1 mm of water, while in another location, it needed 742 mm. The researchers also figured out that the rice needed the most water in the middle of the growing season.
