Researchers studied how much water green gram crops need in Kashmir, India. They used a special device to measure water use and found that the crop needs 287.5 mm of water. They also figured out the best times to water the crop during different growth stages. The study compared different methods to calculate water needs and found a good match with the Penman-Monteith method.
