Teak tree extract inhibits crop growth, impacting food production.
The study looked at how the leaf extract of teak trees affects the growth and biochemical changes of tomato and eggplant plants. Different concentrations of the teak leaf extract were tested, and it was found that higher concentrations led to lower germination rates and shorter plant lengths. The teak leaf extract had both inhibitory and stimulatory effects on the plants compared to water. The tomato plants were more affected by the extract than the eggplant plants.
