Korean Stock Market Inefficient Despite Daily Price Limit Expansion.
The study looked at how efficient the Korean stock market is after changing its daily price limits in 2015. They analyzed data from the market index and 30 different stocks from 2015 to 2017. Results showed that most stocks followed a random pattern, but some did not have consistent price changes, suggesting the market is not completely efficient. Overall, about half of the stocks met the criteria for a weak-form efficient market, while the other half did not.
