Transparency in Government Finances: Audit Board's Innovative Approach Bridges Information Gap
The Audit Board of Indonesia looked into using Key Audit Matters (KAM) in their audit reports to bridge the gap between auditors and readers. They found that KAM can be adapted for public sector audits by considering the unique characteristics of government financial reports. By aligning KAM with public sector audit practices, they concluded that KAM can be effectively applied to improve the transparency and understanding of audit reports in the public sector.
