New Game Theory Boosts Signal Quality & Reduces Interference in Networks
The goal of the research was to reduce interference among users in a cognitive radio network. The researchers used a new algorithm based on Stackelberg game theory to improve signal quality and reduce interference. By testing the algorithm on 10 users, they found that the Signal to Interference noise ratio (SINR) was significantly higher with Stackelberg game theory compared to Cournot game theory. This means that the network performance was better with the new algorithm.
