The Three Gorges Reservoir Area in China faces soil erosion due to urbanization. By planting trees and implementing water and soil conservation projects, soil erosion has been reduced. However, more efforts are needed. Analyzing data, it was found that soil erosion is caused by urbanization. To address this, laws and supervision need to be improved, education on soil and water conservation should be increased, and new technologies should be used. Controlling soil erosion in this area is crucial for protecting the ecological environment of the Yangtze River Basin.
