Scientists have developed a new method to quickly and accurately determine soil water diffusivity and retention curve without the need for time-consuming lab tests. By combining different models and conducting experiments, they were able to calculate these parameters using only infiltration data. The results matched well with traditional methods, showing that this new approach is reliable and efficient for studying soil water properties.
