Tunisian ports show significant efficiency gap, impacting trade and economy.
The goal of the study was to measure the efficiency of 7 Tunisian seaports from 2003 to 2013. The researchers used two methods, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA), to calculate the efficiency scores. The results showed that the average operating efficiency scores were highest for DEA BCC model (0.746), followed by SFA CD model (0.536), and DEA CCR model (0.334) during the study period.
