The Government of India suggested negotiations for an agreement to make trading services easier in 2016. Even though the idea didn't get much support, talks started in 2017 on different policy areas that are important for services trade. Being part of these talks can help improve services trade by finding good regulatory practices. While the World Trade Organization is discussing elements related to services trade, there are still gaps to fill. To make trading services smoother, it's crucial for governments, service industry groups, and regulators to work together on international cooperation initiatives.
