The article describes how a map was created to show the conservation value of different landscapes on Jeju Island in South Korea. By considering both natural and human-made features, experts assigned values to different types of landscapes. The map revealed areas with high conservation value, like protected areas and unique landscapes, as well as areas where values varied. This map can help identify places that need a more integrated approach to prevent negative impacts from traditional resource-focused planning.
