The COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 greatly impacted China's agriculture and rural areas. It affected agricultural production, sales of rural products, employment of migrant workers, and rural tourism. This has slowed down agricultural development and rural revitalization. However, the growth of the information industry is creating new opportunities for the agricultural economy.
