The researchers studied how the age of rice seedlings at transplanting affects the yield of lowland rice in Fogera plain. They tested different ages of seedlings from 0 to 35 days old and found that 21-day-old seedlings gave the highest grain and straw yield. This age also resulted in the most profitable outcome. Therefore, using 21-day-old seedlings for transplanting rice in Fogera plain is recommended for better crop yield and economic benefit.
