Art and design students face high perfectionism, distress, and procrastination levels.
The study compared perfectionism, psychological distress, and procrastination among art and design students. 380 students from the University of Gujrat participated. Communication design students showed the highest levels of these traits. Female students had higher perfectionism, while upper-class students had more procrastination. Psychological distress was higher in lower-class and rural students. Perfectionism was positively related to psychological distress and procrastination in all departments. The study highlights the importance of understanding these psychological factors in creative field students.
