Cryopreserved Goat Sperm Cells Could Revolutionize Livestock Breeding and Food Security
The researchers froze sperm cells from native goats of Iran using different freezing solutions. They tested the cells' health and ability to grow after thawing. The cells frozen in a solution with 90% fetal bovine serum had the best health and growth potential. This shows that the amount of serum in the freezing solution affects how well the cells survive and multiply after being frozen.
