Successful pregnancies from embryos frozen for 10 years using new technique
Successful frozen embryo transfer can be achieved even after 10 years of storage using a technique called ultra-rapid warming. This was shown in a case where a patient had two successful conceptions, one after 3 months and the other after 10 years of cryopreservation. The embryos were frozen slowly and thawed quickly after a decade, leading to successful pregnancies.
