Transforming agricultural waste into vermicompost boosts green bell pepper yields
Agricultural waste can be turned into vermicompost to help grow better green bell peppers. By using different combinations of plant biomass and animal waste, researchers made vermicompost and tested it on crops. They found that vermicompost improved the quality and quantity of peppers by enhancing soil fertility and nutrient levels. The best vermicompost was made from poultry litter, paddy straw, and Azolla pinnata. This study shows that using locally available waste to make vermicompost can lead to cleaner and better crop production.
