Mangrove fish diversity in Chabahar Bay impacted by seasonal changes.
The researchers studied how fish populations in Chabahar Bay's mangrove habitat changed over time. They used underwater cameras to observe the fish monthly for almost a year. They found 17 different fish species, with one species, Ambassis gymnocephalus, being the most common. The fish populations varied significantly from month to month, with December standing out as different. The temperature and water clarity were the main factors affecting where the fish were found. Overall, the diversity of fish was highest in the fall and spring when the temperature was just right.
